Happy Divers Marbella & IDC College
The diving center is located directly at the beach of Atalaya Park Hotel with great view to Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast and has been managed by Peter Deth since 1996.

Both the hotel and the diving center are situated in a quiet residential area away from noisy tourist centers. The distance to Marbella and Estepona is approx. 13 km. To Málaga it is about 70 km.

Happy Divers Marbella is open all year. From March until mid November the dive center is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 19:00 h. During the winter month Happy Divers is open from Sunday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 h.
The diving center has a friendly and inviting atmosphere and has intentionally been kept as a smaller place to guarantee individual services.Scuba diving equipment has to be carried only very short distances. To pool and boat it is about 30 meters.
Happy Divers Marbella & IDC College is the highest rated PADI dive center in Spain - the only PADI 5* Career Development Center (CDC), PADI Gold Palm 5* IDC Center, PADI IE location and the first ever NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC dive center in Spain. Divers are taught from beginners to instructor level and beyond.

In 1997 Happy Divers Marbella became a Scubapro S.E.A. diving center and it is therefore one of the 210 diving centers worldwide recommended by Scubapro. Of course here you will find Scubapro diving gear and the diver can be sure that the equipment will be maintained regularly by trained staff.
The facilities of Happy Divers Marbella consists of 5 rooms:
  • Reception and Shop 1 - equipment for sale including a big variety of masks and snorkelling gear and a lot of useful accessories.
  • Office, Classroom & Shop 2 - here you also can find wet suits, booties, swimming fashion and a lot more
  • Workshop, stock & snorkelling gear for rent
  • Compressor-room with L & W air-compressor (Lenhard & Wagner) and the first ever built L & W NITROX Mixmaster, a membrane compressor. Both compressors fill 450 liters/ minute to 4 scuba tanks all at once. Regulators and scuba tanks are stored here as well.
  • Chiringuito; this is a separate building where wet suits, BCDs, fins and weights are stored; client's wet suits and BCD's can be hung up to dry as well.
Equipment: 15 complete Scubapro equipments are for rent:
  • Regulators Mk 2+, R 190 and/ or R 380 all with octopus
  • BCs from size XXS to XL, 5 mm wet suits from size 128 for children up to size 56 for adults
  • masks in 4 different sizes and full-foot and open-heel fins in all current sizes
  • Furthermore underwater lights, dive computers and various snorkeling sets, 35 x 12 l steel tanks for open water dives and 10 x 5 l steel tanks for pool training and scuba diving for children.

Après Diving: The Diver`s bar is situated in front of the diving center, where experiences can be exchanged before or after the dives or just to relax.
Dive-boat
Happy Divers Marbella intents to offer their divers great and comfortable diving. Therefore got build a new and bigger boat in the beginning of 2001.
The boat named "Happy Divers" is a 6 meters long Bombard rib powered by a 100 hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engine. It gives space for up to 16 divers and is equipped with sonar and GPS, a rack for storing 10 scuba tanks and a 80 liters gasoline tank. Now it will be possible to approach comfortably also dive sites which are further away.
