Happy Divers Marbella & IDC College gets awarded to be the first and only PADI 5* Career Development Center in Spain
In November 2007 Happy Divers Marbella & IDC College has been AWARDED to be the first ever PADI 5* Career Development Center (CDC) & NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC dive center in Spain. Therefore Happy Divers is now the highest rated PADI dive center in Spain.

This CDC AWARD is only given to dive centers who have dedicated its business to professional development training beyond instructor development courses.
As a PADI 5* Career Development Center Happy Divers offers career- oriented training to prepare dive professionals for employment in the dive industry. We don`t just develop instructors, we develop diving careers !

NEW Dive center in Marbella
In the beginning of 2007 Happy Divers opened its 3rd dive center on the Costa del Sol. The new dive center “Happy Divers – Marbella port” is located in the leisure port of Marbella (Puerto deportivo) right in the city center of Marbella. The new location is a combination of dive center, shop, bar and coffee shop. The dive center will be open every weekend (Saturday + Sunday) in December from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from the 20th of December 2007 until the 10th of January 2008 it will be open every day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

NEW!! Exiting Wreck Dive on the Costa del Sol
New in the diving program from Happy Divers is the wreck of the Menapier.
On the 11th November 1917 the cargo ship Menapier, loaded with iron ore whilst on passage from Villaricos to Gibraltar, sunk due to a collision with another ship. Today the wreck, lying between Fuengirola and Punta de Calaburra, is still in good condition. It is about 110 m in length and approx. 15 m in width and lies on a slightly sloping sandy bottom at around 40 m. The average diving depth is between 35 and 40 m. Interested in the dive ? Due to its depth it is a rather demanding dive. Minimum certification level is Deep Diving Specialist. Of course it is also the perfect opportunity to do your Deep Diving and/ or Wreck Diving Specialty. For more information see chapter: Dive prices/ gear rental and Specialty courses.

No. 1 worldwide in teaching NATIONAL GEOPRAPHIC courses
After being awarded as a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC dive center Happy Divers Marbella taught for the second time in a row the most NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Open Water Diver courses (NG OWD ) WORLDWIDE as an individual dive center in 2007.
NG OWD courses are very popular at Happy Divers since it is the much more complete Open Water Diver course compared to the standard OWD course. NG OWD Divers train to have a better Buoyancy control, better Navigation skills and a sharp sense to protect the UW environment. A bit of extra training in the pool and the Open Water makes the NG diver to a better diver right from the start. The IDC College Costa del Sol is specialized in developing diving careers and PADI PRO training. Like Happy Divers Marbella, the IDC College can also be found on the premises of Hotel Atalaya Park.
Since the beginning of 2004 there is the NEW “IDC College Costa del Sol”. The IDC College is the training department of Happy Divers Marbella and is specialized in PADI PRO training. Like Happy Divers Marbella, the IDC College Costa del Sol can also be found on the premises of Hotel Atalaya Park.
2 PADI Course Directors and their multilingual staff guarantee diver and instructor training on PADI`s highest 5* CDC level. Our career programs start several times a year. IDC & IE will take place in May, September and in November 2008.
